BOBSLED (COMPLEX)

TWO vs. TWO

Equipment:

  • 12 Red solo cups
  • 2 Ping pong balls

Rules:

  • Set up 6 cups for each team on the opposite edges of one side of the table (shown below).
  • 4 cups will be in a line on either side (shown below), and the other 4 cups will be each players personal cup (one per player).
  • Choose between you and your partner who is going to be in the “front” of the bobsled (by the cups) and who is going to be in the “back” of the bobsled (opposite of the cups).
  • The front player (closest to the cups) is the drinker and flipper. The back player is the shooter and the bouncer.
  • Once organized and set up, start the game!
  • The back player who is shooting will attempt to score the ball in the 4 cups that are in a line. The front player rebounds the ball for them when they miss.
  • Once a cup is sunk, the player in the front will move to the side of the table, take a sip of their drink (if drinking) and attempt to flip their cup.
    • Flipping your cup: The cup is placed on the edge of the surface face up. With your finger you flick the bottom of the cup so that it flips in the air and lands face down on the surface. If you it does not, reset and try again! (shown below)
  • Once the front player drank and flipped the cup, the back player then attempts to bounce the ball in their personal cup.
    • Bounce the ball: Have your personal cup face up on the surface away from the edge. Try bouncing the ball one time into the cup with out moving the cup. (shown below)
  • Once the back player successfully bounces the ball into the cup, they then can start shooting again.
  • Continue this process until all 4 cups in the line are sunk! Make sure on the last cup you continue the process and finish with the back player bouncing the ball!
  • The team that finishes first wins!

Here is how the start of the game should look like!

Here is an example of what happens when the back players sink it into one of the 4 cups in a line.

(Player “1 Front” is shown successfully flipping the cup)

Here is an example of the back players bouncing the ball into their personal cup!

(Player “2 Back” is shown successfully bouncing the ball into their cup)

Although these examples are showing both teams doing these steps at the same time, this is a race and most likely will be happening at different times!

Here is both teams moving on to their next cup with the one that was sunk placed off to the back and out of the way!
