RAPID FIRE (COMPLEX)
TWO vs. TWO
Equipment:
- 11 Cups (5 for each team and one for the middle)
- 2 balls (1 for each team)
Rules:
Get into your team according to the colors you landed on (or rolled).
You and your partner stand on opposite sides of the table (shown in the pictures below).
One of you has a ping pong ball and the other has 5 cups in front of them, 4 of which are in a row filled with water or your drink and the empty one is just off to the side.
The 11th cup goes in the middle of the two sets of cups and is the last cup for both teams. (Explained more below)
Once you begin, the player with the ball tries to sink it in the 4 cups with water (or your drink), the other teammate throws the ball back until one of them is sunk.
Once sunk, the player by the cups, moves the cup that is sunk out of the way and proceeds to try and flip the empty cup. To do so, put the empty cup on the edge of the table face up and flick your finger under it to pop up the cup, trying to make it land face down on the table! (Shown below)
Once it is flipped successfully, switch sides with your partner so you are doing opposite rolls and continue.
Once all 4 cups are sunk, the player on the team who is up next to shoot will then try and sink it in the 11th cup by bouncing it twice. (Shown below)
- The team to get it in the 11th cup (in the middle) wins!
Additional drinking rules (if drinking):
- Put your drink into the 4 cups that you are shooting at instead of water. When a cup is sunk, drink your drink and flip that cup instead. You no longer need the 5th cup.
Example of what flipping the cup looks like! It can flip as many times as you want!
The photo below shows the set up for Rapid Fire! Photo shows 3 cups but we changed it to 4!
In the photo above, the players with the balls (1B and 2B) will start shooting at the 4 cups lined up in front of their teammate!
The photo above shows what happens once both teams sink their first cup. Players 1A and 2A who were behind the 4 cups move the cup that was sunk aside and head to the flipping cup where they attempt to flip their cup.
As shown in the photo above, 1A was successful at it where 2A was not and has to keep trying until they get it! Player 1A now can stand on the opposite side of the table and shoot at the remaining 3 cups!
Repeat this process until you have sunk all 4 of your cups! Which then you will move on to the last stage shown below!
As shown above, team 1 has sunk all 4 of their cups and is now on the 11th cup (the one in the middle).
Team 2 is still on their last cup!
Player 1B has to bounce the ball twice into the last cup to win! Player 1A keeps tossing it back to 1B until they get it!
